All PASS Members and their families are invited
to march in the annual Pittsburgh Labor Day Parade and attend the Picnic that follows.
We will depart from the Western GNAS Office in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania (legacy Pittsburgh SMO Office) Parking lot at 9:00 AM and carpool to downtown Pittsburgh. If you wish to just go directly downtown we are next to the Civic Arena (same as previous years) on Mario Lemieux Place. The Parade begins at apx. 10:00 AM.
The Picnic will be at the Rotary Shelter, Moon Township Park (same as previous years) following the parade at apx 1:00 PM. Food and Refreshments will be provided by PASS. If you have any questions please contact Craig Gray @ 412-849-3497.
Atlanta Quarterly Meeting

On Monday, August 25 and Tuesday, August 26 Luke and Mark will be in Atlanta, GA to meet with the Eastern Service Area Director, Teresa Hudson and staff to discuss third level grievances as well as other issues.

Mark Dunlap, Region 1 Assistant will host a meeting of the newly elected NG3 executive board members in Worcester, MA on August 22, from 10 am to 2 pm.

PASS Region 1 Team to Visit Maine

The Pass Region 1 Team Luke Drake, Region 1 VP, Mark Dunlap and Chuck Siragusa, Region 1 Assistants will visit facilities in Maine. On Tuesday August 19, we will visit Portland to speak with the bargaining unit around 2:30 pm. On Wednesday August 20, we will be in Augusta around 7:30 am and Bangor around noon. Please make an effort to meet with us to discuss any issues you may have.
PASS Organizing Strategy Meeting

Region 1 VP, Luke Drake will meet with Carol Bolay, PASS National Organizing Chairwomen and PASS National President, Tom Brantley to discuss organizing strategies in an effort to recruit and maintain PASS membership. The meetings will take place August 11 through August 13 at PASS National.

Chicago Representative Training

The PASS Region 1 team will be conducting representative training in the Chicago metro area June 17 - June 19, 2008. If you are currently a Rep. and have not had the training you may attend. More information is in Article 3, Section 8, of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. If you are interested please contact Luke, Mark or Chuck enough in advance so that we may work on your release to attend.
