PASS Vice President at NHCFAE Annual Conference

On July 28, PASS National President Rich Casey attended the 2015 National Hispanic Coalition of Federal Aviation Employees (NHCFAE) Annual Conference in Atlanta. This annual conference is a gathering of NHCFAE members representing every level of the agency from entry-level employees to senior-level executives. The conference consists of training, career and skill advancement sessions, presentations, and discussions on a variety of topics of importance to FAA employees.

During the conference, Casey participated on a panel regarding diversity and diverse hiring at the FAA. “Diversity at the agency is topic worthy of serious discussion and attention,” he said. “I was honored to be part of such an important and relevant panel.”

Casey revealed that through the course of the panel discussion, the conversation steadily shifted toward a focus on privatization and its impact on the agency and its various workforces. “As is the case these days, privatization is at the forefront of everyone’s minds including those attending the NHCFAE conference,” he said. “I was glad to have the opportunity to discuss PASS’s position once again and stress that we are opposed to breaking up any portion of the FAA. It is critical that we continue to take every chance to voice our opinion.”
